Wrexham Expansion Creates Jobs

Sharp, the electronic giant said that the expansion of its Wrexham factory can creates number of jobs.

The company plans to double up their production of solar cell modules at Llay in December. They hope to open up job vacancies for its production line.

The general manager of Sharp Solar, Andrew Lee said that the company also generating a plan to open up a training academy.

The total numbers of available jobs are still uncertain, however, the idea of expanding their area means to create a numbers of works for unemployed people. The news earned a positive remark from government officials.

There are some changes for their staff routines; some of their staffs who currently working in microwave production may switch to the new production lines.

According to Mr. Lee, the expansion of the Wrexham was one of the best news they have offered to people and in the country.

He said that Whexham was supportive to their company for many years ago, and the idea of investing for the Whexham was the right thing to do.

He added that the 570 employees they have at Llay were already involved in operation of the solar modules.

Their target date to introduced the new product lines will be in this coming December and the completion and the implementation will be on February 2011.

According to the general manager, he cannot give out necessary figures about the numbers of job they can offers to people, because they are still working out for the possible figures.

They are going to open their new training academy in October; there will be at least 25 to 50 solar panel installers to train each month.

Whexham MP Ian Lucas said that he was extremely delighted about the plant expansion and he added that the thing was a real success story for their town.
