Over 25 people died in a twin-bomb explosion that happened in the holy city of Karbala in southern Iraq.
On the initial investigation, police said that the bombs were set off on the road that was frequently used by the Shia pilgrims passing through the shrines during a religious festival.
The two car bombs was detonated by the militant people, police suspected the Sunni extremist to be the one responsible for the attack.
According to the authorities in medical officials, there were dozens of individuals been injured and wounded in the explosion.
The pilgrims are about to take their way going to Karbala as a part of their religious celebration, the Shabaniyah.
There is no group to claim who was responsible about the bomb explosions on Monday. However the authorities linked it to the trademark of the Sunni extremists’ attacks.
In the past years over Iraq, authorities suspected the Sunni group consistently targeting the Shiite religious groups especially during their religious ceremonies and their holy places.
The Shabaniyah festival was the birth of Imam Mohammad al-Madhi, who was very well-known as the Hidden Imam. He was a Shaiite that believed to vanish in the ninth century.
The devotee believed that the Shaiite saint will return to give harmony love and peace to people of the world that lead people to be present to Karbala for the celebration.
Early Monday in Baghdad, there is a suicide bomber that led his bus into the front of the Popular Arabic News station in Baghdad. It killed six people and a lawmaker were been buried alive in his wrecked and collapsed home, according to the police authorities and medical officials.
Iraq does not have a government after the March election and their nightmare was that the rebels are going to abuse the absence of a ruler in their country.
Around hundreds of people were already killed in the violent attacks being made by the rebellious group around Iraq.
