Dreamliners First Overseas Landing in Britain


The first ever trip outside United States of Boeing Company’s Dreamliner’s 787 aircraft, successfully lands in Britain on Sunday.
The first trip of the carbon-composite plane of the Boeing Company was another breakthrough in aviation history.
Media people followed Boeing executives, which includes the company’s CEO Jim McNerney, who gets on board after the plane landed.
They are active to follow the coverage of the plane’s activities and to its arrival. It was another subject not only for plane business interests but also in the community of the flight-enthusiasts.
There are some technical issues being pointed to the plane from recent weeks. They have thought that the plane cannot make its much awaited flight to Europe. However, the plane made it to arrive safe and sound in the runway of the airport on its landing.
The 787 carrier will be expected to take the limelight at next week’s Airshow in Farnborough.
The flight testing of the plane started from Seattle with its 16 crew members through Farnborough airport. It took its test pilot Mike Bryan almost nine-hours for its trip from United States to Europe.
The success of the flight promises a kind of aircraft that can deliver greater fuel efficiency with the use of the lightweight materials and its innovative designs, which is a big help for the aviation industry.
Although the flight testing seems to be on delay, wherein the twin-engine passenger plane of the company already made its inaugural flight last December, the test of this project became the subject for media coverage.
Japan was the first customer of Boeing aircrafts carrier. Deliveries of this long-range passenger aircrafts to their Japanese clients was been delayed for almost two years because of some production and technical problems.
However, the Boeing executives said that their target delivery date of their Dreamliner aircrafts to Japan’s All Nippon Airways is on the last months of 2010. Still, there is a possibility that the delivery will be on delay, delivery will takes place on early 2011.
