Rapper T.I. was released from jail on Thursday following an arrest in LA because of suspicion for possessing ecstasy, according to the police.

Clifford Harris Jr., 29, T.I.’s real name, was taken into custody alongside his wife Wednesday night on Sunset Boulevard, following an incident wherein police smelled marijuana emanating from a car in which the rapper superstar was a passenger.

Also, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department said that the Grammy award-winning rapper was booked for having at hand a controlled substance but was later released after posting bail of $10,000. However, he is not yet formally accused because examination on a handful of pills resembling ecstasy as of this moment is ongoing and is currently conducted by the officials.

Subsequently, T.I. will appear on the court this coming Friday.

Moreover, the Atlanta-raised rapper and actor formerly have problems in opposition to the law, which includes various arrests on drugs and weapons indictment. In addition, five months ago, he was released from a halfway house after serving a year in prison related to federal weapons charges.
