Legendary Pictures announced their movie outfit’s plans for the revival of the Godzilla movie in 3D in 2012.

Legendary Pictures, was a movie production company that is very much interested to launch a remake of Godzilla in 3D movie.

The movie outfit was working out together with Warner Brothers, with an aim to distribute the movie film in Japan by Toho.

As of this date, still there are no confirmation yet who will be going to direct the movie project, however there are some U.S. Producers that are already in the line-up, includes the terminator 4 producer Dan Lin and the producers of Japanese horror movies remakes named Roy Lee.

Including in the line-ups of the producers was the Japanese citizen Banno Yoshimitsu, who was the one directed and wrote the Gojira vs Hedorah, the first giant lizard’s movie in 1971.

In 2004, Toho gave rights to Banno, to produce an IMAX Godzilla movie with a tentative title of Godzilla 3-D to the Max. It took him years to realize that he wanted to make a sequel of the Godzilla movie.

According to reports the film will feature original Godzilla plot in Showa Era, it was the period were the giant lizard was fighting the pollution-related monster Deathla in New York and South America.

Moreover, there are some gossiped says that the participation of Banno in the 3D film was simply to acquire the IMAX rights.

Based on the CEO, Chairman of the Legendary Productions, Thomas Tull, their company wanted to produce a movie of Godzilla as a gift to the fans of the legendary giant lizard. To see the things they want to see from its return to the big screen.

Godzilla was a well-known Japanese character and Toho President Takai Hideyuki was very much pleased and honor about their deal with the Legendary Pictures, for bringing up Godzilla character to life again.
