Jacques Rogge, the president of International Olympic Committee, will announce the inaugural Youth Olympic Game in Singapore on Saturday hoping to teach young athletes to play fair and reject corruption and racism.

Furthermore, this event will fulfill Rogge’s longtime desire to make a multi-sport and global event for young athletes. Rogge said that it is also training for their soon Olympic life. He also added that the Youth Olympic Game can add some values with teens that will be joining the event in a human and very modern way.

In addition, the event will present about 3,600 athletes, 14 to 18 years of age and representing over 200 nations, contending in the similar 26 sports on the recent program of Summer Olympics. Moreover, Rogge said that the village for the athletes will twice as a big classroom for the games on August 14 to 26.

Rogge added that he consider they were experts to pursue this kind of big sport events but they are entering now a latest field, which is the education field. They can make some mistakes in the beginning but they will learn from it.
