Eminem and Jay-Z, two of the most popular names in hip-hop joined forces and performed at the Comerica Park in Detroit.

Supporters from all over the country were ecstatic to see their rap icons perform together in the same stage, as the stadium in Detroit were filled with screaming fans and rhymes that only “Slim Shady” and Jay-Z can deliver. These rap superstars made hip-hop history, as they headline two shows in two consecutive nights to perform in Motor City’s baseball stadium. They also added two more consecutive shows for the Home and Home Tour, to be held at Yankee Stadium in Bronx, New York later this month.

As Eminem was in a series of personal problems these past few months and was not actively participating in the hip-hop scene, Jay-Z was successful with his high-grossing tours. However, with the help of this tour, Eminem was revitalized, and he proved that he is one of the pillars of the hip-hop scene of his time. It was also evident that Eminem missed performing for his fans. He was in high spirits, energetic and lively that night.

Eminem is the multi-platinum, Grammy award winning hip-hop artist from Detroit, Michigan. His albums has sold 12.5 million copies and he is also listed 82nd in Rolling Stone magazine’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, and named artist of the decade in December 2009 by Billboard magazine.

However, a career hiatus and personal problems were always part of his career. In 1999, his mother sued him for $10 million dollars for slander, pertaining to the lyrics in Eminem’s album, “Slim Shady LP.” In 2001, he was sentenced to probation due to weapons charges. He has also gone through addiction problems, and an issue related to Mariah Carey and the rumored relationship between them.
