The doctor who leaked the information about usual childhood vaccine that can lead to autism was prohibited to practice medicine on Monday.
This particular doctor was also directing persistent medical practices on children that they really do not need. The General Medical Council held its most critical permission against Andrew Wakefield, the doctor and aged 53, who consigned the medical practice in Britain in 2004 as questions deepen about Wakefield’s research and set up a center to examine the developmental deficiency of children in Texas, in spite of not being licensed as a doctor there.
Moreover, in January, after the extended investigation in its history, the council found out that there are many cases of what it said was unprofessional direct by Dr. Wakefield. It stated that Dr. Wakefield is taking blood samples of children for the study.
In addition, in the birthday party of Dr. Wakefield’s son, he paid each child £5 or $7.20 today, and joked about it afterwards. It also noted that part of the costs of Dr. Wakefield’s research study was paid by attorneys for parents trying to sue the makers of vaccine for damages.
Furthermore, Dr. Wakefield left the Texas center last February, but keep on to speak out against the medications he has done in Britain, as he did with the interview last Monday in New York, when he called the decision of the British to beat Dr. Wakefield off the medical record an attempt to degrade and suppress Dr. Wakefield.
He also added that he will plead the decision that will take effect except suspended for permissible reasons in 28 days. The action for the disciplinary tribunal came after more than ten years of argument over the connections Dr. Wakefield and association in Britain.
