Jason Day of Australia rolled in a 26-ffot putt to finish a run of three consecutive birdies that gave him the second-round lead after Tiger Woods experienced a back-nine decline at the Barclays on Friday.

The 22-year-old Australian fired his subsequent consecutive four-under-par 67 for an eight-under 134 overall and a one-stroke lead ahead Americans Vaughn Taylor and Kevin Streelman, who shot a scorching 63 at the FedEx Cup playoffs opening event.

Woods, who alongside Taylor shared the top spot on the first round after a kickoff 65, begin his round over the 10th hole and lead the field at eight under par as he made his turn but all of the sudden lost momentum coming home.

Woods, being the world’s number one, struggled through his most terrible season and eyeing for his first win. He had shot a bogey in par-three second when he commenced a short hurl shot from the rough going to green following a photographer who has taken pictures of his backswing.

Moreover, Woods has failed to spot a par putt from inside two feet for bogey at the sixth following another miss short putt to bogey the earlier hole. At the end, another bogey was fired and finished a two-over-par 73 that put Woods at 138, which was four strokes after Day.

Woods, who was tied for 14th said that he hit two loose iron shots yet more than everything, he did not putt well.

Meanwhile, Day, who challenged at this month’s PGA Championship until a devastating hole that came in the latter parts of the final round, has scorched it out from the fifth, his number 14 hole of the day. He knocked in a two-footer and drenched a seven-footer prior to rolling in from long distance.
