The blistering weather sets up the hottest day ever recorded at Los Angeles and San Diego on Monday afternoon.
On Monday, Los Angeles and San Diego had a blistering day that they have ever experienced since weather experts started keeping records. Based on the gathered data, the temperature reached 113 degrees at 12:15 in the afternoon in downtown L.A, which was considered as the hottest day in history today. This phenomenon broke the record of 112 degrees that occurred on June 26, 1990. Because of this, people continuously talk about the scorching heat they have experienced.
This happened because a high pressure system remains over the West, which causes heat blocking the cool moist air to get on shore. Due to the blazing atmosphere, beaches were surprisingly packed even though it is Monday. People seem to skip work and school, for them to find some relief.
As for San Diego, they have experience the same occurrence on Sunday and Monday. According to meteorologists, they are expecting to experience relief from this weather by Tuesday. By that time, cooler air is anticipated to make its way on shore.

According to battalion chief of Los Angeles County Fire Department Mike Brown, they are continuously receiving calls that are heat related such as heat strokes and heat exhaustion. Brown added that this is happening all over Los Angeles, which made them very busy today than they’ve been for the past few months.
By tomorrow, it is expected that San Diego will experience 79 degrees temperature, while Los Angeles will have 88 degrees.
